| Introducing NYLETHERM-1 Heat Pump Water Heaters. 610-476-4155 North Road Technology is marketing The Nyle Corporation's latest and more efficient water heater. |

| As you can see from the schematic photo to the right the NYLETHERM-1 collects heat from the air that is drawn through it and transfers it into the water heater tank. While you could put this combination anywhere that remains above 40 degrees Fahrenheit and successfully collect heat, you should consider the following. The more humid the air the higher the unit efficiency. The warmer the air the higher the efficiency. The NYLETHERM-1 makes as much noise as a dehumidifier. It is unwise to pay to heat a space, and then collect that heat to heat your water. On the other hand, if you heat with an inexpensive fuel like wood or pellets and there is lots of excess heat in the vicinity of the stove, then it makes sense to utilize that waste heat. There are many unfinished basements that are toasty warm all winter long because of the uninsulated piping or ducts. This warmth is lost and will not find its way up to your living space so it makes sense to collect that waste heat, putting it to use to heat your hot water. |
